After the protest against BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, questions are now being raised. Mohit Kamboj, who is considered very close to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, has tweeted. There is a huge debate going on in the politics of Maharashtra regarding this tweet. Questions are being raised on his tweets. Mohit Kamboj tweeted that the party was damaged to shorten the line of just one person. He is vaguely talking about betrayal within the party. Political analysts say that they are blaming the party’s poor performance on internal politics.

Let us tell you that the total number of Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra is 48. Out of them, BJP has got only nine Lok Sabha seats in this election. Compared to the 2019 parliamentary elections, the number of BJP MPs has decreased by 14. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP single-handedly won 23 seats. This time the BJP and its allies have got only 17 seats. At the same time, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) has won 30 out of 48 seats in the state.

Mohit Kamboj’s tweet caused a stir

The BJP-led NDA fell far short of its target. Despite the target of winning more than 45 seats in Maharashtra, Congress got only 17 seats. The Congress won 13 seats, significantly more than the one it won in the state in 2019, while the Shiv Sena (UBT) won nine and the NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) eight.

Mohit Kamboj tweeted that BJP Maharashtra and BJP Mumbai need a reality check! Who will take responsibility for this defeat? A party is ruined for one person to shorten the queue! Will senior leaders and ministers of Maharashtra be held accountable?

Fadnavis took responsibility for the defeat

Earlier, Devendra Fadnavis took responsibility for the crushing defeat in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and requested the senior leadership to relieve him of the responsibility of the government. Fadnavis on Wednesday said that he takes full responsibility for the BJP’s defeat in Maharashtra. He was weak in some places and the defeat in Maharashtra is his fault. In order to focus on the upcoming assembly elections and eliminate the shortcomings, he requested his party’s top leaders to relieve him of government responsibilities. He will meet his superiors and inform them about the expectations.
