As per the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India, if you add the second and fourth Saturday along with 4 Sundays in the month of August, there are a total of 13 holidays. Banks will remain closed for 13 days

In addition to state-specific holidays, there are some holidays that apply to all states and banks in the country. For example, August 15 is a holiday for all banks in the country on the occasion of Independence Day. In such a situation, banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in the month of August. This includes Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays.

As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, public holidays in India are divided into three categories. In which Negotiable Instruments Act, Negotiable Instruments and Real Time Gross Settlement Act and the last category is closure of accounts by banks.
