ATS commandos deployed on Kanwar Marg.
A solid arrangement has been made for the security of the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the month of Sawan in western Uttar Pradesh. Every movement is being closely monitored for the successful completion of the Kanwar Yatra. Due to which ATS commandos have been deployed in Muzaffarnagar for the first time. ATS commandos have been deployed on all Kanwar routes emanating from the district. They are also continuously marching on the route.
Lakhs of Kawad pilgrims pass through Muzaffarnagar district every year. A large number of Shiva devotees from different districts of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh carry water from Haridwar through the city and the highway with water. This time the district police wrote to the government to deploy ATS commandos to complete the Kavad Yatra safely. Following the request of the Muzaffarnagar Police, a large team of ATS commandos has been deployed at various locations in the district.
ATS commandos came from Lucknow
ATS commandos are keeping a close eye on all routes from the city to the highways. Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh says that ATS headquarters was requested to deploy ATS commandos to prevent any untoward incident in Kanwar Yatra, after which ATS commandos have reached Muzaffarnagar. He said that thousands of Kanwariyas come and go to Haridwar every day from Shiv Chowk in the city. He has been posted here.
ATS commandos deployed at every step of the journey
Apart from this, these commandos have also been deployed on highways and many other roads that pass through Muzaffarnagar. Recently, the district police administration issued an order to write the names of owners and managers on hotels, dhabas, shops and carts located on Kanwar Yatra routes in the district. After which the UP government implemented it in the entire state. There was a lot of politics against this decree. Later the Supreme Court stayed this order.
