Accused of forcing students to convert at Lakme Academy
Lakme Academy is located in Civil Lines area of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Six students studying here have accused Rakshanda, who runs the academy, of inciting them to convert. All the students also protested against the accused woman outside the DM office. People from Hindu organizations were also present during the demonstration, who also burnt an effigy of Rakshanda, who runs the Lakme Academy.
The activists of the Hindu organization demanded that the police register a case in the whole matter. The police have registered a case in this matter and arrested both Rakshanda Khan and her husband. The accused have been produced in court. SP City in Civil Lines of Moradabad district told a press conference that a complaint was filed by students studying at Lakme Academy, alleging that some wrongful activities were taking place in their centre.
In those activities students are asked to change religion. Non-Muslim students are discriminated against within the institution. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against the accused in the civil lines in this case. Tania Chaudhary has filed a complaint against the accused.
What did the police interrogation reveal?
After the complaint, when the police reached the spot and inquired about the matter, it was revealed that such activities were being carried out there. In the academy, people are tempted to convert. Both of them are residents of Kanpur. Both live on rent in a flat in Moradabad. After receiving the complaint, the police arrested both of them. Police are also interrogating other accomplices in this case.
During police interrogation, Rakshanda said that the people who complained against her were old students. After learning the work for 5 months, he is seeking refund of the fee. They have made these allegations against me for non-return of fees. Rakhanda said that she will also present evidence for this in the court.
