Accused arrested in Kriti murder case.
It was 23rd July… the time was 11:13 pm… a young man brutally killed a young woman in a PG located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The girl’s only fault was that she sheltered the young man’s girlfriend in her PG. The name of the deceased was Kriti Kumari. She came from Bihar and was working in Bangalore. The youth is a resident of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The police have arrested him. Now the accused is being brought to Bengaluru. The murder incident has also been captured in the CCTV camera.

24-year-old Kriti Kumari lived in Bhargavi Staying Homes for Ladies PG in Venkatredy Layout, Koramangala. A few days ago Kriti’s friend called her. She was sobbing. Kriti asks him what happened to you? Friend said- My boyfriend Abhishek has cheated on me. He was telling me that he has a job in Bangalore. For several days he lied to me that it worked. But it doesn’t work. So I had a fight with him and we broke up. Now that annoys me. He has come to Bengaluru from Bhopal and is doing the rounds of my PG.

Both were working in the same company
Both Kriti and her friend were working in the same company. So Kriti thought of helping him. Kriti said to her friend – you come and shift in my PG. She shifted to Kriti’s PG. But Abhishek came to know about this. Several times he even asked Kriti to call him so that he could talk to his girlfriend. When Abhishek’s girlfriend became more upset, Kriti got her shifted to another PG. Kriti’s friend told her – if Abhishek calls you, don’t pick up. Don’t talk to him. Kriti did the same.
But Abhishek was unhappy with this. He was furious with anger. Then he made a plan to kill. A plan was made to kill not his girlfriend but his friend Kriti. Deep in Abhishek’s mind was the fact that Kriti alone was responsible for whatever was happening. Kriti must have provoked his girlfriend in front of him. He will surely avenge this. With this intention in mind, he took a flight from his home in Bhopal and reached Bengaluru.
This is how the crime was committed
On the night of 23rd July all the girls were present in their respective rooms in the PG. Abhishek knocks the door of Kriti’s room. Unaware of what was about to happen to her, Kriti opened the door without hesitation. He thought she must be a PG girl. But as soon as the door was opened, Abhishek was standing in front. He did not say anything to Kriti. Just dragged him by the hair to the gallery away from the door. Then took out the knife. Kriti got scared on seeing the knife. She started screaming. Hearing Kriti’s screams, other PG girls also came out.
Within 50 seconds, Abhishek stabbed Kriti several times one after the other. No girl came forward to help Kriti who was trembling with pain. Some girls called and informed the police. Some informed the PG owner. Abhishek ran away after committing a horrific crime in front of the girls. The surprising thing was that even after that no girl approached Kriti. Kriti died in agony in front of him.
The CCTV cameras were examined
When the police arrived, they found the entire floor covered in blood. The accused had taken weapons with them. Kriti’s body bore many marks of knife attack. Soon his body was sent for post-mortem. Kriti’s family was also informed. The CCTV cameras were examined. In which the entire incident was captured. Then the police took the statement of the PG girls. The PG owner was also questioned. Soon the news spread like wildfire. After this incident, serious questions are being raised about the security system of PG. The police also blamed the negligence of the hostel management for the incident and issued strict instructions to all PG hostels to follow safety norms.
What did killer Abhishek say?
Along with this, the search for the accused was started. Abhishek had come to Bhopal from Bengaluru on the same night of the murder. He was living comfortably here, as if nothing had happened. But the police reached him on July 27. The accused was immediately arrested. He explained the reason for the murder – Kriti had broken my relationship. The police are now bringing him to Bengaluru. He will be interrogated here. Investigation is going on in this matter. Police will also question Kriti’s friend and Abhishesh’s girlfriend. His current whereabouts are unknown.
