Four-day parole for Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh, to be sworn in as MP on July 5

Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh got four days parole. The Amritsar DC issued an order temporarily releasing Amritpal on four-day parole to take oath as an MP. Amritpal will take oath as MP on July 5. He has won from Khadur Sahib in Punjab as an independent candidate.

Amritpal Singh contested and won elections while in jail. From Khadur Sahib, he defeated Kulbir Singh Zira of Congress by 197120 lakh votes. Amritpal Singh got 404430 lakh votes while Zeera got 207310 lakh votes. Whereas, Aam Aadmi Party’s Laljit Singh Bhullar is at the third position with 194836 lakh voters.

Amritpal Singh and many of his associates are currently lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. He was arrested in April last year. He and some of his supporters attacked the Ajanla Police Station in Punjab.

After many days of struggle, the police arrested him. After his arrest, he was sent to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. Punjab Police registered a case under NSA against Amritpal.
