Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered a big victory from Gautam Budh Nagar seat in Uttar Pradesh. From here veteran leader of the party Dr. Mahesh Sharma has scored a hat trick of victory. Against him, Samajwadi Party (SP) fielded Dr. Mahendra Singh Nagar and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) gave ticket to Rajendra Singh Solanki. It was being said that this seat would be an interesting three-cornered contest, but it did not happen and the BJP had a one-sided victory.

According to Election Commission statistics, 15 candidates were trying their luck in Gautam Buddha Nagar seat. Here BJP got 59.69 percent, SP 20.76 percent and BSP 17.51 ​​percent votes. Dr. Mahesh Sharma got 8 lakh 57 thousand 829 votes and SP candidate Mahendra Singh Nagar got 2 lakh 98 thousand 357 votes. At the same time, BSP candidate Rajendrasinh Solanki got 2 lakh 51 thousand 615 votes. BJP’s Sharma defeated the SP by a huge margin of 5 lakh 59 thousand 472 votes.

Who is Dr. Mahesh Sharma?

Born on September 30, 1959 in Manethi village of Alwar, Dr. Mahesh Sharma’s father Kailash Chand was a teacher. His mother was a homemaker. He studied medicine based on his hard work and dedication and today he is one of the top doctors in the country. Dr. Mahesh Sharma started his medical practice in the year 1983 in a small shop in Sector 19, Noida. He then opened his own hospital named Kailash Hospital. When he came to Delhi to study medicine, he became close to the RSS and later became an active member of the BJP.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma’s wife Uma Sharma is also a doctor and heads the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kailash Hospital. They were married on January 22, 1987, while their daughter Dr. Pallavi Sharma has studied MS (Eye Surgery) and son Dr. Karthik Sharma has done MBBS after studying MHA (Masters in Hospital Administration) from Oxford University and is serving Kailash Hospital.

In 2012, he contested the assembly elections for the first time

After completing his medical studies, Dr. Mahesh Sharma practiced for about 25 years and then entered politics directly. He first contested the assembly elections from Noida in 2012 on a BJP ticket. After being an MLA for two years, the Lok Sabha elections took place in May 2014, when the BJP fielded him from the Gautam Budh Nagar seat, he won here too and became a minister. After this, he also won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with a huge majority. He is also credited with winning all the five assembly seats of Gautam Budh Nagar in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections held in 2022.

In fact, this was the first time that all the seats in the district were simultaneously in the lap of the BJP. It is said about him that no one speaks ill of him personally, even from the opposition party. Everyone has been forced to call him Doctor Saheb after coming forward despite heaping accusations against each other from the platform.
