A collision between a bike and a van
A horrific road accident took place near Matanpur village in Belkheda police station area, 50 km from Jabalpur district headquarters in Madhya Pradesh, in which three members of the same family lost their lives. The incident took place when a Maruti van and a motorcycle collided head-on. The mother and father on the motorcycle died on the spot in the accident, while one person was injured, while the son also died before reaching the medical hospital. The van driver also sustained serious injuries in the incident, who is being treated in a critical condition at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical Hospital in Jabalpur. On being informed, the police reached the dead body and informed the family members.
35-year-old Mohan, a resident of Khari Hanumat Bagh village of Damoh Tendukheda police station, was going to his father-in-law Matanpur Belkheda along with his father Prem Singh and Sheel Rani. Just then, one kilometer before Belkheda, a van was coming at full speed from the front. The driver of the Maruti van carelessly hit the two wheeler hard.
The van driver is under treatment in hospital
As soon as the collision occurred, the three riders on the bike fell far away. The Maruti van also went forward and overturned. Prem Singh and Sheel Rani died on the spot in the accident, while son Mohan was sent to a medical hospital in Jabalpur with serious injuries. However, shortly after reaching the hospital, the doctors also declared Mohan dead. The driver of the Maruti van was also injured and is undergoing treatment at a medical hospital.
According to locals, the accident was caused by the van driver’s mistake, the injured person has been admitted to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The local administration and police are appealing to people to follow all traffic rules while driving on the road to avoid such incidents.
Regarding the whole matter, Additional SP of Jabalpur Suryakant Sharma said that this tragedy is very unfortunate. The police is investigating the matter seriously and appropriate legal action will be taken against the person responsible for the accident. The incident has cast a pall over the entire area and the local people are deeply saddened by the accident. Police have seized the van involved in the accident and other evidence and investigations are on.
