These days Kareena Kapoor is in discussion about her new film ‘The Buckingham Murders’. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film has released in theaters on September 13. This is a murder mystery thriller film, in which Kareena’s acting is being praised, but the film did not do well at the box office. The name of that movie is ‘Chennai Express’, which was released in the year 2013. Rohit Shetty was the director of this film. Deepika Padukone was seen opposite Shahrukh in this action comedy film. She played a character named Meenamma, but was not the first choice for the role, rather it was offered to Kareena first. However, Deepika was signed when Kareena did not work out.
Why did Kareena Kapoor reject the film?
Kareena refused to work in ‘Chennai Express’ as she was busy with some other project. She herself has spoken about this. He once said that Rohit Shetty wanted him to act in this film. However, at that time she was shooting for ‘Talaash’ with Aamir Khan. So, due to busy schedule, she had to decline Rohit’s offer.

He produced a film titled ‘Dilwale’, in which Shah Rukh along with Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon were also cast. This film has also received good response from people. The film collected 388 crore rupees worldwide.
Although Kareena could not work with Shah Rukh in ‘Chennai Express’ but she has worked with Shah Rukh in several films. Both have been seen together in ‘Raavan’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. Apart from this, Kareena did a cameo in Shahrukh’s ‘Don’ and ‘Billu’.

That means the film has earned only 3.05 crores in two days.
