Spectacular ‘ritual’ of Shraddha in Bihar
Shraddha Paksha has also started. Pitru Paksha, one of the 16 rituals of Hinduism, has a tradition of performing Shraddha, Tarpan etc. for the peace of the ancestors’ souls, but a video has surfaced from Bihar that has shocked everyone. In Bihar’s Bhojpur, when a Shraddha program was going on after the death of a person, suddenly some people started firing in joy. The incident took place on the night of September 13.
In fact, a tribute meeting was organized at Bhimpatti Belwania village in Bihia police station area. Bhojpuri artist Tuntun Yadav was also invited. There was a singing program of Tuntun on the stage. As soon as they got on the stage for a show like Tuntun, two youths pulled out guns and started shooting in the air. Even Tuntun Yadav was scared by such a sudden firing. He forbade the people to do so but the youths continued firing.

The video of this incident has also surfaced. In the video, one can clearly see how Toontun is standing on the stage, with a mic in his hand. After this, when Toontun Yadav sings ‘Rakhale Bani Naihar Mein Brand Ahiran Ke…’, the youths start firing bullets indiscriminately. Some youths come with rifles in hand and start firing in the air. Even Tuntun gets scared by this incident. They forbid people but in a very irresponsible way youths keep happily shooting in the air anywhere. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.
Bhojpur police took action
In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that the female dancers dancing on the stage moved to the side as soon as the firing started. However, firing continued on stage throughout the program and Tuntun Yadav was present. After the video of this case went viral, the Bhojpur police took notice of the matter. Bhojpur SP Raj said that the video is being investigated. Action will be taken after investigation. He said that a case has been registered against 5 people including 3 named under Arms and Loudspeaker Act.
