ICICI Bank shares hit a record high. Following which the bank’s market capitalisation crossed Rs 9 lakh crore.

Shares of ICICI Bank, the country’s second-largest private lender, fell short of the 52-week high. In fact, the bank’s valuation crossed Rs 9 lakh crore for the first time. ICICI Bank is the second bank in the country whose market capitalisation has crossed Rs 9 lakh crore. Prior to this, HDFC Bank’s market capitalisation was over Rs 9 lakh crore. Stocks hit a record high

Shares of ICICI Bank hit record highs on Wednesday. The private sector bank’s stock rose 1.55 per cent to Rs 1,288.05 on the BSE. At one point during trading, it had risen two per cent and touched a record high of Rs 1,295. At the same time, the company’s stock on NSE rose 1.38 per cent to touch Rs 1,285.60. At one point during trading, the bank’s stock rose 2.14 per cent to its all-time high of Rs 1,295.35.

The fifth largest company in the country.

Amid this surge, ICICI Bank’s market capitalisation rose by Rs 14,921.32 crore to reach Rs 9,07,391.45 crore. With this, the company became the fifth most valuable company in terms of market capitalisation. Reliance Industries Limited is the most valuable domestic company with a valuation of Rs 19,79,846.83 crore. It is followed by Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 15,72,637.92 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 12,92,151.87 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 9,40,851.44 crore) and ICICI Bank (Rs 9,07,391.45 crore).
