Sadhu first entered politics
Another name of Sadhu Yadav is also Aniruddha Yadav. Sadhu Yadav started his innings in Bihar politics when the Janata Dal was in power in the state. As a member of the RJD, Sadhu Yadav first served as a Legislative Councilor in the Bihar Legislative Council from 1995 to 1997 and then from 1998 to 2000. After this he was the MLA from Gopalganj in Bihar Assembly from 2000 to 2004. After this he was also elected MP from Gopalganj in the 14th Lok Sabha.
Left the party in dispute
According to Bihar political insiders, Sadhu Yadav left the RJD when there was a dispute between the RJD and the then LJP over the division of constituencies. After leaving RJD, he immediately joined Congress and contested from Betiya but was unsuccessful. Then he lost the election against BJP’s Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal.
According to another report, Sadhu Yadav was briefly suspended from the party by the Congress after he was accused of challenging party policies. However, Sadhu Yadav also gave his explanation about this, which was accepted.
Sadhu Yadav was in many parties
In the 2010 assembly elections, he contested from Gopalganj on a Congress ticket but was unsuccessful. After this, in 2014 he also stood as an independent candidate against his sister Rabdi Devi but lost. After this, he contested the Barauli Assembly seat as a Jan Adhikar Party candidate but finished third. In the 2019 elections, he contested from Maharajganj on a BSP ticket but was not successful here either.
The debate in Bihar politics gained momentum when Sadhu Yadav wanted to join the BJP. But at that time some senior BJP leaders opposed joining their party.
Name in discussion
Apart from the politics of Bihar, Sadhu Yadav’s name also came into discussion in many other issues either willingly or unknowingly. Sadhu Yadav’s name came into the limelight in 2003 when Prakash Jha’s film Gangajal was released. The news was spreading that Sadhu Yadav’s supporters attacked the theaters in protest against the release of the film.
Actually the actor Mohan Joshi playing the main villain in this film was named Sadhu Yadav. Then news also spread that Sadhu Yadav himself tried to stop the screening of the film. However, the matter was put to rest after director Prakash Jha filed a claim.
He used to eat in the name of the saint
A senior politician in the capital says that when the RJD was in power, a former MLA owned a famous restaurant in Patna’s Boring Road area. However, that restaurant still exists. Crowds of people used to come every day to eat at that restaurant. One day a young man named Thapa arrived at the restaurant and said that Sadhu Yadav had ordered food. After this the young man ate the food and left after packing several other kinds of food. This streak continued for more than a year. When a loan of lakhs of rupees was taken in the name of Sadhu Yadav, the owner of the restaurant told this to a close associate of Sadhu Yadav.
After this the matter came to light and Sadhu Yadav nabbed the youth on the spot along with his supporters. After which the secret came out that a young man named Thapa was harassing others in the name of Sadhu Yadav and misusing his name. In this incident, Sadhu Yadav had also paid the loan of lakhs to the arrested youth.
Subhash Yadav was a clerk
According to the information received, Subhash Yadav was working as a clerk in Patna Secretariat before joining politics. He quit the job when Rabi Devi became CM of Bihar and joined RJD in 1997 to support his sister. This was the same year when Lalu Prasad broke away from the Janata Dal and formed the RJD. Subhash Yadav became a Rajya Sabha MP from the party in 2004. He remained a Rajya Sabha MP till 2010.
There was a grip on the bureaucracy
A senior leader of Bihar says that at that time Subhash Yadav had a tremendous grip on the bureaucracy of Bihar. Narrating an incident, a senior leader says, Subhash Yadav used to share the list of officers to be transferred to Bihar in advance. Surprisingly, when the notification was released by the state government, it exactly matched Subhash Yadav’s list.

Rabi Devi ties Sunil Singh with rakhi
Former RJD MLC Sunil Kumar Singh is considered close to the Lalu family. In 2003, for the first time Sunil Kumar Singh became the President of Bihar State Marketing Union Limited i.e. BISCOMAN. Since then he has continuously held this position. In June 2020, Sunil Kumar Singh became MLC of RJD in Bihar Legislative Council. It is also said that after a falling out with the real brothers Sadhu Yadav and Subhash Yadav, Rabdi Devi considered Sunil Kumar Singh as her brother and even tied a rakhi to him on Rakshabandhan. Sunil Singh is known as Rabi Devi’s brother in Bihar politics.

Whenever the Lalu family faced tough times, Sunil Kumar Singh always stood by the RJD family. Sunil Kumar Singh supported the Lalu family wholeheartedly. The importance of Sunil Kumar Singh’s stature can be understood from the fact that whenever any big program or convention was organized by RJD, the responsibility was entrusted to Sunil Kumar Singh.
CBI also conducted raids
Sunil Kumar Singh also came into limelight when the CBI raided his house in 2022. It is also said that Sunil Kumar Singh’s name is also involved in the alleged corruption in the IRCTC case.
Distance from Lalu family increased
