The elderly appealed to the authorities
You must have seen the Bollywood film Kagaz, in which a living man was declared dead in the documents due to the negligence of the departmental officials. After this, the man went round the divisions for years to prove himself alive. Pankaj Tripathi was playing the role of that person in this film. One such case has come to light from Barambaki in Uttar Pradesh. A 72-year-old man has been declared dead on paper by the department here. His family members are worried. They are constantly giving proofs of old age survival from the departmental officials, but their problem is not being solved.
This case belongs to Hydergarh Panchayat of Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. The department has declared 72-year-old Gurudin, a resident of this place, dead on paper. The old man came to know about this when he reached the customer service center to collect his pension. There when he asked to give pension to the employee he said your pension is stopped due to some reason. When the old man finds out, he realizes that the department has presumed him dead.
Pension has been stopped since 14 months
The old man said that pension is a support for old age. But his pension has been stuck for 14 months. He also gave evidence to the department officials that he was alive. But the officials are ignoring. The old man says he will not get his pension unless he is declared alive in the documents.
Officials do not focus on solving the problem
Family members said that at the age of 72, the old man has to go round the government offices. No authority is paying attention to their problem. They don’t know how this mistake got into the paper. The department is not saying anything on the matter. What to do in such a situation, I do not understand anything.
