A gang making fake calls was caught

Everyday people are faced with fake calls to defraud crores of rupees on the pretext of getting them a job. The gangs of fraudsters are growing so fast that they extort crores of rupees from people by taking them into confidence and giving them a job. A gang doing this has been busted from Uttar Pradesh.

Gautam Budh Nagar Police Station Sector 63 here has busted a call center which was running fraud in the name of getting jobs and work visas abroad. Police have arrested nine people in this case. Among those arrested are three men and six women.

Call center raids

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shakti Mohan Awasthi said that acting on a tip-off, the police raided a call center in E-Block of Sector 63 and from there the entire operation of the fraudsters was exposed. Police investigations revealed that people were being cheated in the name of getting work visas and jobs in Dubai, Serbia, Canada.

They assure people of high paying jobs in these places. They dream of living a luxurious life in their own way and then demand huge sums of money from people when they fall into their trap. On the call, he tells people big things about being in a high position and engages people in his talk.

Shakti Mohan Awasthi said the police arrested nine people and seized 24 laptops, three CPUs, LED TVs, keyboards and fake documents from them. Police are on the lookout for such fraud gangs and strict action will be taken if caught.
