The special thing about this metro is that there is going to be a single track of rapid rail and metro within the city, which is going to happen for the first time in history. It is being said that this metro will be equipped with hi-tech facilities. NCRTC is calling it historic.
Coming of metro in Meerut will solve many problems of the people of Meerut. The daily traffic jam within the city of Meerut has become a problem for the city dwellers. The advent of metro will make it easier for people to move from one place to another. Metro will have three coaches. In which up to 600 passengers will be able to travel sitting and standing. There is also an emergency button facility at the metro gate.
The speed will be 120 km per hour
Apart from this, the metro will be fully air-conditioned. At the same time, the metro will also have two charging points above each seat. Due to this, passengers will get the facility of mobile charging and laptop charging. Along with this, proper arrangements will be made to keep the luggage inside the train. The speed of this metro will be 120 km per hour. Meerut city will have a total of 13 metro stations. Which will start from Meerut South to Meerut North i.e. Modipuram.
