Issues of sexual harassment come up frequently in the film industry. Many actresses themselves come forward and reveal this, while some remain silent. After the recent Hema Committee report, many stars from the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu film industries have come forward about sexual harassment. In this list the name of ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ Anguri Bhabhi i.e. Shilpa Shinde is also included. Shilpa alleged that she was also sexually harassed when she started her career.
In an exclusive conversation with News18, Shilpa Shinde claimed that she was asked to lure a filmmaker for an audition. Shilpa claimed that it was very easy at that time, which is why she agreed to do it. The actress said that later she came to know that the filmmaker was overstepping her bounds, after which she pushed him and ran away.

It is your decision whether you want to do it or not.” Describing the sexual harassment she faced, she said, “This happened in the early days of my career, around 1998-99. I was very innocent at that time, that’s why I did this scene. However, later I realized that the person was trying to force me. ,

Shilpa said that the filmmaker is from the Hindi film industry. The actress said, “A few years after the incident, I met him again and he spoke to me very lovingly. Maybe he didn’t recognize me and even offered me a role in the film. However, I refused.”

In 2015, Shilpa Shinde appeared in &TV’s ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ Anguri is known for playing the role of Manmohan Tiwari. However, he left the show in March 2016. Shubhangi Atre was replaced by Shinde in the show. Apart from this, people also know him as ‘Bigg Boss 11’ winner. Shilpa is currently a part of the stunt-reality show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Shilpa started her film career in the year 1999, but she came into the limelight in 2002 by playing a negative role in the Star Plus serial ‘Bhabhi’. After this he acted in several TV shows, including ‘Kabhi Aas Na Judai’, ‘Sanjeevani’, ‘Amrapali’. Shinde has also acted in two Telugu films ‘Chinna’ and ‘Shivani’.
Shinde was engaged to Romit Raj in 2009, but they later called off the engagement. Both met in 2007 on the sets of the TV show Myka. Soon after this, the two started dating each other.
