An auto driver in the district raped a nursing student and threw her on the road. The police found the student unconscious. He was admitted to the hospital. After regaining consciousness, the student narrated the brutality of the auto driver. Police have registered a case and started searching for the accused. The victim student has been medically examined, the report is awaited.

The 19-year-old victim told the police about the incident that the auto driver mixed something in her water on the pretext of giving her water to drink, due to which she became unconscious. The victim student studies as a nurse at a private hospital in Ratnagiri. The medical report of this case is yet to come out.
The incident of rape with the student took place on Monday. The police seem to be avoiding giving any information in this matter. According to the incident, a nursing student in Ratnagiri district was found unconscious in Champak Maidan near the city. As soon as the police got the information, the student was taken to Ratnagiri Civil Hospital for treatment. After regaining consciousness, the student told about the brutality meted out to him.
The victim student alleged that she boarded the auto to go home. When he felt thirsty, he asked the auto driver for water. It is alleged that the auto driver gave him anesthetic mixed with water. After drinking it, she became unconscious. She was taken to a secluded place and raped. At present the girl is under treatment at the civil hospital.
After the incident, there was an uproar in the police department. The student was rushed to the hospital. He was medically examined. Here in the state there is a fear among women and girls due to continuous incidents of rape. There is anger in various organizations over the incident in Ratnagiri. Officials of all organizations gathered at Ratnagiri Civil Hospital and also protested.
