Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘mathadish’ statement has angered the sages of the state. Akharas have expressed their displeasure over Akhilesh Yadav’s statement of being a leader and a mafia ahead of Mahakumbh 2025 in the Sangam city of Prayagraj. Mahant of Sri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udsin Nirvana condemned Akhilesh’s statement and warned Akhilesh to apologize to Sant Samaj for his statement. Not only this, Mahanto said that the Akhara Mahakumbh will boycott Akhilesh Yadav in 2025.
The clerics alleged that it was wrong for Akhilesh Yadav to make such statements against Sanatan Dharma. If Akhilesh slips his tongue, he should apologize for his statement in time. Akhilesh Yadav himself is promoting the mafia.
He said that Akhilesh Yadav’s job is to protect the mafia. The saints said that they were childish, but Mulayam Singh Yadav understood the saintly society. It is wrong to speak like this against any religion. Akhilesh Yadav has never said anything towards other religions. Saints said that Akhilesh Yadav does not know the difference between abbot and mafia and dignity of monastery and temple. Associating an abbot with the mafia is a sign of evil.
Mahant Durga Das of Sri Panchayati Akhara Udsin Nirvana said that Akhilesh Yadav’s statement is highly condemnable. All abbots are saints, each has a throne. It is wrong for Akhilesh Yadav to say this. In Sanatan Dharma the abbot is compared to God. Meanwhile, Mahant Mukhiya Advetananda, associated with the Akhara, said that Akhilesh’s Sant Samaj will boycott the Mahakumbh. Sant Samaj is saddened by such statements.
