Politics on the bridge

The process of bridge collapse in Bihar is going on. Today on July 4, the bridge collapsed again. Hence politics has also started on it. Last July 3, the politics became more heated when 5 bridges collapsed in a single day. Politicians started accusing each other. People from the British to the Mughals began to be mentioned. Meanwhile, the government is holding meetings after meetings, investigations are also going on after orders, on the other hand, incidents of bridge collapse are continuing unabated. Blame in politics is a different matter but bridge collapse is a fact and it is also causing problems to the people, so the question remains why so many bridges in Bihar are taking Jalsamadhi at the same time?

The opposition is attacking a large number of bridges to take water burial. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav wrote on social media – July 4 means another bridge collapsed in Bihar this morning. 𝟓 bridges collapsed yesterday 𝟑 July alone, 𝟏𝟖 June till now 𝟏𝟐 bridges have collapsed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are completely silent and speechless on these achievements. Wondering how to convert this auspicious corruption into Jungleraj?

Questions are being raised against the quality of the bridge

The figure is staggering. Why did so many bridges collapse in one month in Bihar? Why are the bridges so weak in Bihar itself? Some of the under-construction bridges collapsed, some were recently built, some were so old that they belonged to the British era. Bridges have collapsed in Bihar before. An under-construction bridge has also collapsed. Committees of inquiry were formed, some engineers and other officials were also suspended, but the results were mixed.

Due to broken bridges, questions are being raised about the quality of new bridges in Bihar, irregularities in construction materials and corruption, while negligence in the maintenance of old bridges is coming to light. An inquiry committee is being formed with every falling bridge. Although bridges have been collapsing here for months, 12 bridges have collapsed here so far in the last 15 days. 18 June – Araria, 22 June – Siwan, 23 June – Motihari, 27 June – Kishanganj, 27 June – Kishanganj, 28 June – Madhubani, 30 June – Kishanganj again and then 3 July – 5 bridges collapsed in Siwan, Chapra. Today again another bridge has collapsed in Chapra.

The Nitish government took this incident seriously

However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken these incidents very seriously. Yesterday, a review meeting was held with the officials regarding the maintenance of the bridge. Like the Road Construction Department, the Chief Minister has also directed the Rural Construction Department to prepare a maintenance policy. The Chief Minister said that Road Construction Department and Rural Development Department should prepare a standard operating procedure for maintenance of bridges. Ensure regular inspection of bridges. The Chief Minister directed to be careful about the maintenance of the bridge. Monitor continuously.

The case of bridge collapse in Bihar has reached the Supreme Court. An application has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this. The petitioner has demanded structural audit of bridge culverts in Bihar.

Ashok Chaudhary’s counter attack on Tejaswi

Bihar government minister Ashok Chaudhary has hit back at Tejashwi Yadav. He said that in the previous government this department was with RJD, Tejashwi Yadav was its minister. Ever since the department came to JDU, there were elections and now we have 20 days. Who is responsible for this? Is the liability of a party 20 days or one and a half years?

He also said that what is the status of new and old pools, what is the status of maintenance, Bihar government is working on all these things. He said that the Chief Minister Setu Yojana was stopped in 2016 and plans are being made to start it once again.

He also says that the route of the river has changed in many places due to which such incidents have happened in many places. There have been incidents at many places due to centering breakdowns. An FIR will be lodged against the contractor responsible for misappropriation of government funds. Although there is no provision for an FIR against the contractor, if such an incident occurs, an FIR will be filed for misappropriation of government funds.
