Mamata government’s big decision for civic volunteers, will get so much money on retirement

Mamata government of West Bengal has taken a big decision for civic volunteers. The state government has increased the retirement benefits of civilian volunteers from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This will be applicable from April 1, 2024.

Civilian volunteers work under the Bengal Police. After 60 years, they will get Rs 5 lakh as retirement benefit. In the year 2020, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced retirement benefits of Rs 3 lakh each for civilian volunteers and rural police civilian volunteers after the age of 60. For some time now, there has been a demand to increase the retirement benefits.
