People blocked the highway
Indirapuram is in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. People living in five residential societies of Nyaya Khand-1 protested here. The protest was against the Noida Authority and the Police Administration. The people of the society are angry that complaints are made to the authority against dumping of garbage, but there is no hearing.
Noida authority is dumping garbage by constructing an illegal garbage dump near Khoda police post. People of the society say that people are facing trouble due to stench as garbage is dumped here. People of the society expressed their displeasure and said that the mountain of garbage in Ghazipur has not been removed yet and the authority has prepared to build another mountain of garbage in Sector-62.
People are bothered by the stench
According to local people, the piles of garbage in the residential areas are causing a terrible stench. Due to which the risk of infectious diseases has increased. Officials of the authority do not pay attention to solving the problem. Local people protested by blocking NH-24. Traffic was also affected for some time due to public protests. Apart from the dumping site, local people also reached the Ghoda police post and protested.
People are outraged by the silence of the authorities
More than 5000 families in societies like Gaurav Green Vista, Supertech Icon, Journalist Vihar, Janata Flat and Amrapali Village are suffering from stench due to garbage piles. According to Gaur Green Vishta General Secretary Rakesh Pandey, the authority is maintaining silence. No authorities are coming forward to solve this problem. Five lakh people live in this area, who are facing this problem. If the officials continue to neglect, they will be forced to resort to court. People involved in the protest have also submitted a complaint to the police administration regarding the problem.
