World renowned storyteller Anirudh Acharya Maharaj, who is always in the news for his statements, is once again in the headlines. He made such remarks about Lord Shiva from the Vyasa Peeth, after which the entire saintly community rose against him. Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj called Lord Shiva the brother-in-law of Shri Krishna. He said that Lord Shiva is actually the brother-in-law of Sri Krishna as Krishna was married in Ujjain.
It is alleged that the narrator Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj made a comment on Lord Shiva in Vrindavan, Mathura, the city of Sri Krishna, following which there is great anger in the saint community. But there is not much information about when and how this comment was made. According to information received, Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj told Vyas Peeth through social media that Lord Shiva is Krishna’s brother-in-law as Krishna was married in Ujjain. After this statement, Sant Samaj opened a front against him.
Great resentment in the saintly society
When the Sant Samaj came to know that Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj had called Lord Shiva as Krishna’s brother-in-law, the Sant Samaj was furious and they filed a written complaint with the District Magistrate. When the saints staged a demonstration, the matter reached Anirudh Acharya Maharaj, after which he released a video.
Aniruddha Acharya apologized
Now Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj has released a video and told reporters that it has come to his attention that he has declared Lord Shiva as Krishna’s brother-in-law. Anirudh Acharya said that he did not make any such remarks, but apologized if his words hurt the heart of any special person, saint society or other devotee. He said that the people of Sant Samaj are very great saints. He should consider them as his children and forgive them.
