In Patna, the capital of Bihar, traffic police batons were used on four-wheelers on Thursday. These vehicles were parked haphazardly on the road. The special thing is that most of these vehicles belonged to RJD MLAs and their leaders. The traffic police issued challans to all. This special campaign of the traffic police was led by Aparajit Lohan, Traffic SP of capital Patna himself.
On Thursday, a membership drive was organized by the party at the state RJD office located on Birchand Patel Marg in the capital Patna. Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav was to launch the campaign. Many MPs, MLAs, senior party leaders and workers arrived to participate in the event. All of them had parked their four wheelers on Birchand Patel Road. When the traffic police received information about this, they came into action.
More than 20 vehicle challans were issued
A police team led by SP Traffic Aparajit Lohan reached the spot on Birchand Patel Marg. Traffic police issued several vehicle challans against SP Aparajit Lohan. The traffic police ticketed more than 20 vehicles. The special thing is that all these vehicles belonged to the leaders. Most of these vehicles belonged to MLAs. Traffic SP Aparajit Lohan said that challans have been issued to all the people who had vehicles.
Vehicles were parked in no parking zone
Traffic SP Aparajita Lohan said that this is a VIP road. It is a four lane road. We appeal that everyone should stay within the ambit of rules, laws and regulations, or action will be taken. He said that whoever had the vehicle in the no parking zone has been challaned. We have not worked with the target of issuing challan on MLA’s vehicle. All vehicles in the no parking zone were challaned. If MLAs’ vehicles were parked there, challans were issued and challans had to be paid. All challans are for parking.
