They were planning to commit some major crime by shooting for extortion. But this extortion plan of Gorkhadhandha failed. These criminals were wanted and involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery, firing and Arms Act in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Accused Deepak and Shekhar fixed some targets on the instructions of gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu and Sachin Chhikara. Property dealers, shop/showroom owners, jewelers and traders were also investigated. Special cell team has arrested 3 active criminals of notorious gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang. The accused were earlier involved in more than two dozen heinous criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion, macoca and Arms Act in Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and Delhi.
They used to collect money in the name of security money
Accused Deepak alias Dawood and Shekhar alias Sonu at the behest of gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu extorted property dealers, shop/showroom owners etc. offices of jewelers and businessmen in Uttam Nagar, Najafgarh, Janakpuri and Dwarka areas of Delhi and if any of them refused to pay security money, They threatened them by firing at their positions. By doing this, the gang used to target many big traders.
The police had been tracking for a long time
A team of Special Cell Northern Range has been busy for the past several months to track down members of the Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang. The team was trying to nab the culprits for several days. For this, his activities were being closely monitored. Apart from this, information was constantly being sourced from reliable sources. To further confirm these inputs, the sources were more carefully sorted. The police kept a close eye on this. Special cell team members were deployed at various locations in Haryana, Rajasthan and UP to trace them and gather information about the activities of the gang members.
