Three man-eating wolves were caught

The Bahraich area of UP is in the limelight these days due to man-eating wolves. Bahraich district lies in the north-eastern part of Devipatan division. The northern part of the district is the Terai region, which is surrounded by dense forests. Chakia, Sujauli, Nishangra, Mihinpurwa, Bichia and Bagauli are the major forest areas of the district. Katarniaghat here is also very famous. Elephants, tigers and leopards can be seen in Katarniaghat forest. Three wolves have been caught here so far.

District Forest Officer Akash says three wolves have been caught so far and three more are likely to be caught and drones and tranquilizers are being used to catch them. Soon they too will be caught. Akash says one of these cannibals is injured. When they are unable to hunt their natural prey, they are attracted to prey weaker than them. At present, efforts are underway to catch these wolves. This wolf attack is taking place in Mahasi tehsil area of Bahraich district. People keep vigil day and night in more than 24 villages of Hardi police station area here. Last Monday night, wolves attacked and injured three children of the village.

Village houses have no doors

A man-eating wolf suddenly barged into a house and tried to drag away a sleeping person in Kulaila village of Bahraich late on Wednesday night. The victim says that he was sleeping in the room with his wife when suddenly a wolf came which opened his eyes and then raised the alarm. When the rest of the household woke up, the wolf ran away. It was lucky that the wolf did not make him its prey. In fact, the houses in the rural areas of Bahraich are completely adjacent to the forest. These man-eating wolves roam these forests in herds. These man-eating wolves enter the house by jumping the walls, especially at night. There are no doors in any of the rooms in these houses. When the men, women and children of the family are sleeping in the open room and moving very easily, these man-eating wolves enter the room, grab the children in their mouths and immediately flee into the forest.

People are keeping vigil all night

This pack of man-eating wolves has so far killed 9 people, including 8 children and a woman. On Wednesday night, a wolf entered a house in Kulela village and tried to attack a person. The women of the house say that he stays up all night and guards the house, so that the children can sleep. The woman said that a wolf suddenly came into the room at night and attacked her but she ran away because of his voice. Take special care of children.
