‘World Environment Day’ is celebrated on 5th June every year. Many such films have been made in Bollywood in which a special message has been given regarding the protection of the environment. There are many such films that show how harmful tampering with nature can be. There are many films whose story revolves around natural calamities.

1. You met
Director- Kunal Deshmukh

The 2009 film ‘Tum Mile’ is on the first place in this list. The story of the film is based on the 2005 Mumbai floods. It shows how floods affect the lives of ordinary people.
2. Bitter wind
Director- Neela Madhab Panda
Cast- Sanjay Mishra and Ranveer Shorey
Released in the year 2017, ‘Kadvi Hawa’ was based on the issue of climate change. This subject is shown in a very interesting way in the film. In this you will find the dry land of Bundelkhand on one side and the coastal region of Orissa on the other.

Once again it didn’t rain… The movie starts with the same story that once again there is no rain in the village and there is a drought due to which the people there have to face hardships. However, a thrilling cricket sequence is shown later in the film. This movie came in 2001.
5. Pipli Live

Starring- Raghuveer Yadav, Naseeruddin Shah, Shankar Raman, Hemanti Sarkar
‘Peepli Live’ released in 2010 was much discussed. This picture shows the problems of the country’s farmers in a very unique way. The film depicts the story of Natha who is unable to repay his loan from the government due to drought. After this the government orders confiscation of their land.

Cast- Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara Ali Khan
This list is incomplete without mentioning ‘Kedarnath’. The year 2013 was the year when the Kedarnath Valley was flooded due to a landslide and witnessed a horrific scene of disaster. In the year 2018, a film was made on this incident named ‘Kedarnath’.

‘Ke Po Hai’ is a story of three friends. The three have big dreams and want to open their own cricket academy. The twist in the story comes when an earthquake shatters all their dreams.
8. OMG- Oh my god
Director- Umesh Shukla
Starring- Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty
In this film, Paresh Rawal played the role of a man whose shop is destroyed due to an earthquake. In the film, the insurance company does not give him the insurance amount, calling it an ‘act of God’. After this he knocks on the door of the court and weaves an interesting story.
