After taking oath as Prime Minister for the third time, on June 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a gift to over 9 crore farmers of the country. Modi has launched the 17th installment of Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this, Rs 20,000 crore has been transferred to farmers’ accounts. The country’s farmers had been waiting for this delivery for a long time. After signing the file, Prime Minister Modi stated that our government is fully committed to the welfare of farmers. Let us understand to which accounts of farmers the money is transferred under this scheme? Who are the farmers who cannot benefit from this scheme? What is Prime Minister Kisan Yojana?
Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is the largest scheme of the central government, under which funds are deposited in the accounts of farmers. Under the current norm, each farmer receives Rs 6,000 a year, and a payment of Rs 2,000 is given every four months. So far, the government has sent money 17 times. You can get information about whether money has come into your account or not by logging into the official website of PM Kisan, pmkisan.gov.in. If you have not yet been able to take advantage of the benefits of this plan, you will need to register for this plan.
How to register farmers under PM Kisan Yojana?
- Visit pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on the Farmers Corner option.
- Click on the New Farmer Registration option.
- Select Rural Farmers Registry or Urban Farmers Registry.
- Enter Aadhar number, mobile number, select status and click on receive OTP.
- Complete the OTP and proceed to registration.
- Also enter the state, district, bank details and personal details. It is important that your complete details are those of the Aadhaar card. Enter your details as per Aadhaar.
- Click submit for Aadhaar authentication.
- Once Aadhaar authentication is done, fill in your land details. Upload supporting documents and click save. You will receive a confirmation or rejection message on the screen.
How many people in a family can benefit from this benefit?
As per the current rule, only one person in the family, like husband or wife, can avail the benefit of PM Kisan. Neither of them receive money from Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. PM Kisan money is delivered to the beneficiary with the help of an electronic database linked to Aadhaar. This database contains information about all family members. All names of family members whose names appear in land records are in the government database.
Who doesn’t benefit from this?
People with high income cannot avail the PM Kisan scheme. Those who have institutional land or commercial land cannot avail the benefits of Prime Minister Kisan on them. Past and present Ministers/Ministers of State and past/present members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, nor past and present Presidents of District Panchayats are not eligible for the scheme. Pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000 or more (multitasking staff/Group IV/Group D employees) cannot avail this benefit.
