What did Daler Mehndi say about ‘Welcome 3’?
‘Welcome’ is Akshay Kumar’s popular comedy film franchise. So far two parts have come out and people are waiting for the third part for a long time. The third part is titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Some of the old actors will not be seen in this part, but some new ones have been included. One name also belongs to veteran singer Daler Mehndi. ‘Welcome 3’ director Ahmed Khan has also cast Daler Mehndi in this film.
People were waiting for this movie for a long time. Now Daler Mehndi has talked about this film in an interview given to TV9 Hindi Digital. He said, “70 percent of the film has been shot and I am going to shoot the remaining 25 percent from August 1 to August 15.” He also said that he has a song in the film, for that too he has to give 7 days separately. He named the song ‘Jugni’ and said that all the actors of the film will dance with him in this song.

Daler Mehndi also revealed how he got the film. He said that the film’s director Ahmed Khan is his friend. Once he went to Ahmed’s house with his wife and daughter. He said he told Ahmed Khan that there is a song I want to shoot with you. He sat in his house for more than half an hour, but the film was playing in Ahmed’s mind. He sat and said yes-no to the song.
Daler further said that when he left Ahmed’s house, his elder daughter started crying and said that we should not go near him again, as Daler Mehndi was sitting in front of her and was making a sad face. Daler explained to his daughter that Ahmed was not that kind of man, he must have been trapped somewhere.
Went to Mumbai and signed the film
Daler Mehndi further said, “After a month I got a call from Ahmed Khan. He said- ‘Father, I have a task for you, please don’t do it. You first swear you won’t do it. I said no, I won’t. After explaining to me for 15 minutes, he said, “Paji, I have cast you as the hero in my film.” Ahmed then shared with him information related to ‘Welcome 3’ and then 10 days later he called him to Mumbai and he signed the film.
Daler Mehndi also said, “It’s good that you have signed it, it’s a very good film, a very big film. This is a comedy, we sat and laughed.” The first two parts were directed by Anees Bazmee. However, this time the onus is on Ahmed Khan instead. Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are not part of the film this time. Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patni, Jacqueline Fernandez and Raveena Tandon in important roles.The film was initially slated to release on the occasion of Christmas this year, but according to reports, it will now release in 2025.
