Every day new revelations are being made about Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, who is surrounded by allegations in the Kolkata rape case. The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at several places of the former principal on Friday. In it, Sandeep Ghosh has a palatial bungalow in Kenning of South 24 Parganas district and information about two flats has been found. Apart from this, Sandeep Ghosh also owns a four-storey house in Beleghata, Kolkata. ED officials have also recovered a brand new SUV from the garage of this residence.
Let us tell you that the CBI is investigating the role of the former principal in the Kolkata rape case. At the same time, the Enforcement Directorate along with the CBI is also probing the case of financial irregularities in the RGKAR case.
According to the caretaker of the building adjacent to Beleghata ID Hospital, both the newly identified flats belong to Ghosh. The caretaker indicated that Sandeep Ghosh used one flat on the ground floor as an office and another flat on the third floor.

ED officials say that Sandeep Ghosh deliberately avoided registering his name on the flat to hide his identity. The newly discovered properties are within walking distance of Sandeep Ghosh’s main residence, Balaji Nivas. The central agency is surprised by Sandeep Ghosh’s proximity and number of properties. Apart from this, Sandeep Ghosh also owns a palatial bungalow in Canning, with a large garden and swimming pool.
CBI and ED are investigating
On September 2, the CBI arrested Sandeep Ghosh along with three others in connection with alleged financial irregularities at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The probe follows the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the hospital last month.
The ED on Friday raided several places linked to Ghosh across West Bengal and began investigations. Nine locations in Kolkata and its suburbs were raided. An inquiry is being conducted into alleged financial malpractices at RG Kar Hospital during Sandeep Ghosh’s tenure as principal.
The probe into these financial irregularities led by both the CBI and the ED began after the rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor in the hospital’s seminar hall on August 9.
