Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister on Sunday. Immediately after taking oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with his cabinet colleagues (PM Modi’s first cabinet decision). Many important decisions were taken in this meeting. The first big decision was the cabinet’s approval to build 3 crore houses for the poor.
3 crore houses will be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). These houses will be built in rural and urban areas. Toilets, LPG connection, electricity connection and tap connection will also be provided in these houses. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the government has built 4.21 crore houses for the poor in the last 10 years.
