Many people have died in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir

Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind the terrorist attack on a passenger bus in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. A bus returning from Shiva Ghodi was attacked. All the devotees in the bus had gone to Shiv Ghodi to have darshan of Bhole Baba and were returning back to Katra. Nine devotees were killed and 33 others injured in the attack. The terrorists fired 30 to 40 rounds and one bullet hit the bus driver, causing the bus to fall into a 200-feet deep ravine.

Two terrorists attacked the bus. Sources say that both the terrorists are from Pakistan. They targeted the bus in the area between Rajouri and Riasi border. According to a police official, terrorist commander Abu Hamza is active in Rajouri. Abu Hamza’s picture has surfaced. A joint search operation of the security forces is underway to find him.

It has been reported that the victims of the incident are pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan. All the injured are undergoing treatment at Jammu’s Narayan Hospital and Government Medical College. An inquiry into the attack has been ordered. Its responsibility has been handed over to the NIA. Apart from this, NIA forensic team has also been sent to the spot. Apart from this, the FSL team reached the spot and collected the evidence.

What did the devotees who were injured in the attack say?

Devotee Santosh Kumar Verma, who was injured in the incident, said that he was returning from Shivkhodi after darshan. Suddenly a terrorist came on the middle road and started firing. Two or three shots were fired at the driver, then shots were fired from inside the bus. Then the bus fell down. The firing continued for a long time even after falling down. After that many people started crying and screaming. He kept firing intermittently. There would probably be more firing as we calmed everyone down, although the firing continued for some time.

Another injured devotee said that we had come from Delhi to have darshan of Vaishno Devi. We had time left after darshan, so we thought of visiting Sivaghodi. Just as we left the place after having the darshan, exactly half an hour later the firing started on our car and the glass was broken. Within a few minutes our car went into a ditch. The firing continued for a few seconds even after entering the trench.

What did the administration say about the attack?

Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma while talking to TV 9 Bharatvarsha said that according to eyewitnesses, two terrorists opened fire on the bus. A large-scale search operation is being conducted to nab the terrorists. The terrorists who committed this heinous act are suspected to be Pakistanis. Based on general input, the protection of Shiva mare and mother Vaishno Devi was already strong. There was no specific input, but unfortunately the passenger bus was attacked by terrorists.

After this attack, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha is seen in action mode. He has called a high-level security meeting on the attack. This meeting is to be held today. The meeting will be attended by top security officials.
