After losing 2 matches in a row, Pakistan has finally won a do or die match. Pakistan kept its challenge alive for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a 7-wicket win over Canada. Pakistan won the toss and invited Canada to bat. Canada scored 106 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Pakistan easily completed the winning challenge of 107 runs for 3 wickets in 17.3 overs. For Pakistan, both Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam played a big role in the victory. Mohammad Rizwa played an unbeaten and highest innings of 52 runs. Babar conceded 33 runs. Let’s know what captain Babar Azam said after Pakistan’s first win.

What did Babar Azam say?

“It is a good thing for us. We wanted this win. Credit for the win goes to the team, we started well and took wickets with the new ball. The first six overs are important here. You evaluate after 6 overs. Then we tried to deal with the spinners. We are going with the same mindset. The conditions in Florida should be better than here. I still try my best to do well,” Babar said during the post-match presentation.

The T20 World Cup 2024 tournament has been organized in the US and the West Indies. The second leg of the series will be played in the West Indies. Some matches will be held in Florida and elsewhere. Babar hoped that the situation in Florida would be better than this.
