Actress Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal will soon have a little guest at home. Both of them first met on the sets of the film ‘Fukrey’. This meeting first turned into friendship and then gradually into love. During the lockdown in 2020, Richa and Ali got married in the presence of some guests. In a recent interview, the actress talked about Richa and Ali’s different religions and whether there were any problems during the marriage. When she decided to marry Ali Fazal, in this interview she was asked if anyone opposed that decision.
In an interview to Galta India, Richa said, “If you stand by your decision and your family is behind you, then nothing else matters. I think a person is a human first. When you fall in love with someone, there is no filter. When you are in love, love is the only feeling that matters.”
In this interview, Richa was asked about the restaurant where she used to go with Ali at the beginning of their relationship. She said, “I did not want my family to know about this relationship from outside. When I was ready to talk to my family about this at home, I told them everything. After that we started moving around freely.” Richa said that when the time came to go to the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of ‘Victoria and Abdul’, she and Ali decided to make their relationship public.
“I remember I wanted to go to the Venice Film Festival with Ali for the premiere of ‘Victoria & Abdul’. English actress Judi Dench was also supposed to accompany us. So I explained to Ali that I would not waste that moment thinking about the world. He said he has not told anyone about this relationship yet. Then I said let’s talk. This is the right time”, she added. Richa and Ali got married in 2020 under the Special Marriage Act.
