The green signal has been given for T20
The Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee is keeping a constant eye on Mayank Yadav. According to Times of India report, Mayank Yadav has been able to bowl in full bow for the past one month. He did not complain of any pain. He is currently bowling 20 overs in three spells every day. Now the selectors want to see how fit he is for international cricket.
The selection committee is considering him as the future bowler of Team India. In such a situation, Mayank Yadav can make his debut in the T20 series against Bangladesh. Not only this, Mayank Yadav can travel with the Indian team during the New Zealand series. BCCI sources say that a complete roadmap has been prepared for them. According to him, currently he has been given the green light only for T20 matches. He will not be able to participate in Ranji Trophy now.
The Indian team is also scheduled to play several Test matches in the next few months. That’s why the selectors want to rest the Test specialist players and along with Mayank Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Abhishek Sharma are also present at the NCA camp in Bengaluru. He has also not participated in international cricket in the last 2 months. That’s why both the players are sweating it out ahead of Bangladesh’s T20 series.
Has bowled faster than Archer
Mayank Yadav made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024. He made his name in the history of IPL by bowling the ball at a speed of 156.7 km per hour in the opening matches itself. Mayank became the fourth fastest bowler in the IPL. Currently England’s Jofra Archer and Mark Wood are counted among the fastest bowlers in the world. So far, Archer has bowled at 153.6 kmph and Wood has bowled at 156.6.
