The buzz of Lok Sabha elections is slowly coming to the fore. According to the data so far, the BJP-led NDA has 275 seats. The Congress-led Bharat Gathbandhan has crossed the 200-seat mark. But in the meantime, a shocking news has come to the fore. Narendra Modi is trailing from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. In the first round, Modi lagged behind by 6300 votes. Congress’s Ajay Rai is leading. Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has criticized Modi by tweeting.

Jairam Ramesh posted a post on the social media platform X. He posted a picture of the votes polled by the Congress candidate and Modi in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency. He tweeted it with the caption ‘This is just a trailer’.

Big setback to BJP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s defeat in Varanasi is being considered a big setback for the BJP. BJP contested Lok Sabha elections twice under Modi’s leadership. Due to the Modi wave, they got power with absolute majority twice. But now it is being considered a shocking thing for the BJP because Modi has lagged behind in the third election.

Rahul Gandhi leading

On one hand, Modi is trailing from Varanasi, while Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi is leading from Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi is leading from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad in Kerala. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is leading in both the Lok Sabha constituencies.
