Five members of the same family drowned in Ghaghra river in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri. Four people died in the accident. Police and divers reached the spot and pulled all five out of the river. The accident took place on river Ghaghra near Bokriha village in Padhua police station area of ​​the district. Sushila Devi, wife of Brahmaprakash, a resident of Mohalla Idgah, Lakhimpur, along with her children came to the house of Kotedar Brijendra Srivastava, a resident of nearby village Teliar. On Monday morning, Brijendra, Sushila Devi, Priya, Kanha and Naini reached Ghaghra river near neighboring village Bokarhia for bathing. Everyone was bathing happily in the river. Then while bathing suddenly a child reached deep water and started drowning. Everyone dived into the deep water to save him.
Police and driving team arrived
Others were also bathing in the river. Seeing him drowning, there was an uproar there. People informed the police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. On hearing about the accident, the relatives of the deceased also gathered. The police dove in and started a search for the drowned. After much searching, divers pulled all five out of the river. The police rushed him to the Ramiyabehad Community Health Centre. There the doctor declared Sushila Devi, Satyam, Priya and Kanha dead. As the nanny’s condition became critical in the accident, the doctor referred her to the district hospital in an unconscious state. After the accident, the family members are in mourning.
