Defying all the parameters and predictions of the exit polls, the voters gave a mixed vote in the Lok Sabha elections for the first time in ten years. The NDA was far from 400, but could not cross 300. The BJP could not go beyond 250 seats. Although it is certain that the NDA will form the next government on the basis of majority, but on this occasion once again a coalition government will be formed. The Congress and ‘India’ alliance faced an unexpected obstacle in the Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party crossed 100 for the first time in ten years. India’s lead crossed 200. Just a few months after the construction of Ram temple, the BJP candidate lost the Lok Sabha elections in Ayodhya. This tells a lot. Various reactions are coming from the art world.

Actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’, has expressed disappointment over the election results. He posted a video on Instagram in which he expressed his displeasure. In the caption of this video, he wrote, ‘I was very disappointed to see the election results. One thing is low voter turnout and such a result.. but one thing is a matter of happiness. My two favorite people won this election. Congratulations to both.’ Sunil gave these wishes to actress Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil, who played the role of Shri Ram in the serial ‘Ramayana’.

In this video posted on Instagram, Sunil said, “I am very disappointed to see the election results. I was appealing to the people to vote, but they did not listen. Now the opposition government will come. Will this coalition government last for five years? Anyway, I am happy that the two people I like have won. Kangana Ranaut is a symbol of women power, she has conquered the market. Secondly, my brother-in-law Arun Govil has won the election from Meerut.”

Actor Anupam Kher also wrote a post after the election results. In this he wrote, ‘Sometimes I think that an honest person should not be too honest. In the forest, the straight trees are cut first. The most honest person has to suffer the most. But still he does not give up honesty. That is why that person becomes an inspiration for crores of people.’
