The husband and wife died one day
An old man died on Monday afternoon in Naugaon of Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district. Within 30 minutes of the old man’s death, his wife also died. Both died on the same day. Soon after the death of the husband, the wife also died of burns. The family has cremated both on the same pyre. People are shocked by the death of the wife shortly after the death of the husband. The wife always wanted to say goodbye to this world with her husband.
85-year-old Tatura Rajput of Raisar village lived in the village with his 80-year-old wife Jamnibai and spent his life there. Tatura Rajput breathed his last on Monday around 2 pm. After some time his wife Jamanibai who was disabled from birth went to her husband with the help of a stick and tried to wake him up, but the husband died. That is why he did not make any sound. After some time the wife Jamanibai came to know about the death of her husband. She fell down on the burning chair fire. The old lady was slightly burnt in the fire. Just then the grandson Chanchal reached home, lifted the grandmother from the fire and called the others. Meanwhile, an old woman, Right, also died.
Both were burnt on the same pyre
Family head Purushottam Singh Rajput said that when Jamanibai was alive, she used to say that she would only kill her husband. If God has not called me with my husband then you people commit sati on me with my husband. Jamanibai wished to depart from this world with her husband.
