Illegal sand mine collapses in Jabalpur, three dead including woman, one laborer missing

A major accident has occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. Three laborers were killed when the mine collapsed here. The mine was about 20 feet deep. Three people have been injured in this accident. When a laborer is missing. Relief and rescue work is being done. The incident took place in Katra Ramkhiria village of Gosalpur police station area.

Here workers were extracting sand from a mine on the banks of Barnu river. All the deceased are said to be residents of Katra. One laborer is still missing after the accident and efforts to locate him are on. Rescue teams have also reached the spot, currently relief and rescue work is going on. Among the three laborers who died, one is a woman.

Seven people were buried in the accident

According to ASP Sonali Dubey, illegal sand mining was going on here. This accident happened during that time. 7 people were buried in this accident, out of which three died and three were injured. Haven’t found one yet. The search is on. Also strict action will be taken in the whole matter.
