Himachal Pradesh Constable Recruitment
If you live in Himachal Pradesh and want to get a job in the police department, this news is for you. The state government has started the process of filling up 1,226 posts of constables. Recruitment for these posts will be done by Public Service Commission. Police headquarters had already made all the rules for this. But because of the Lok Sabha elections and assembly by-elections, the model code of conduct was implemented in the state. Due to which this recruitment process was stopped.
The notification of the prescribed rules was released by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. According to which women will be given 30 percent reservation in recruitment. This matter is very important for women candidates. Earlier, women were getting 25 percent reservation. But now it has been increased by 5 percent.
Recruitment for 1,226 posts of Constable
Out of 1,226 constable vacancies, 818 posts are for male candidates while 351 are for female constables. Along with this, 57 posts will be filled for male drivers. These are all third category posts. Which will be filled under direct recruitment by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. A written test will be conducted for all these posts to ensure transparency in the recruitment process. These posts will be filled according to the population ratio of the respective district and the reserve roster.
Recruitment will be done from this district
46 posts of male constable, 19 posts of female constable and three posts of driver will be filled from Bilaspur. 62 posts of male and 27 posts of female constable and four posts of driver will be filled from Chamba, 54 posts of male, 23 posts of female constable, four posts of driver will be filled from Hamirpur. 180 posts of male, 77 posts of female constable, 12 posts of driver, 10 posts of male, 10 posts of male, 4 posts of female constable, one post of driver, 52 posts of male and 22 posts from Kullu will be filled from Kangra. Vacancies of women constables will be filled.
There are four posts of driver, four posts of men in Lahaul-Spiti, two posts of women constable, 119 posts of men, 51 posts of women constable and 8 posts of driver are to be filled from Mandi. Similarly, Shimla has 97 male constable posts, 42 female constable posts, 7 driver posts, Sirmaur has 63 male posts, 27 female constable posts, 5 driver posts, 69 posts from Solan. 30 posts of male, female constable, 5 posts of driver and 62 posts of male, 27 posts of female constable and 4 posts of driver will be filled out of Una.
There was controversy in the recruitment process
The written examination for the recruitment of police constables during the previous BJP government in the state was mired in many controversies. There was a big uproar after the written exam paper was leaked. After which the former government handed over the investigation of this entire matter to the CBI. The CBI is still investigating it.
