Heavy rains in Delhi NCR, heavy rains in Jharkhand-Chhattisgarh; IMD alert in 13 states

Weather in Delhi NCR may change once again. Light rain is likely here on Tuesday. Similarly, some parts of West Bengal as well as Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive heavy rainfall. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 13 states of the country on Tuesday. It has been claimed that heavy rainfall may occur at some places and moderate rainfall at other places. For the past few days, it was raining from Uttarakhand to Himachal Pradesh and from West Bengal to Odisha, but now Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand have become the center of rain.

According to the IMD report, a deep pressure area has formed over coastal West Bengal, the depression is likely to move northwestward today. Due to which heavy rains may occur in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. On Monday too, there was heavy rain in these two states. Apart from these two states, the Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura etc. All these states may receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

Flooding is likely in many areas

Besides Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar, light rain is likely over Sikkim, Goa, Coastal Kerala and Karnataka, Gujarat, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep in the same order. Let us tell you that there was havoc in the weather in many districts of Himachal Pradesh on Monday. Similarly, due to heavy rains, flood-like conditions were created in many districts of West Bengal. Odisha and Jharkhand also experienced torrential rains.

These incidents also caused landslides in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Because of this, the road was blocked at many places on the Badrinath highway in Uttarakhand. Traffic was jammed especially at Kameda, Parthdeep and Chatavpeepal and other places. Due to which more than 400 vehicles going to Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib were stuck for a long time. Similarly, a landslide in Solan in Himachal Pradesh blocked traffic on NH-5 for a long time. The India Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for Delhi NCR.

Depression will increase in west-north direction

Many parts of Delhi NCR are likely to receive light rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to weather activity monitoring website SkymetWeather.com, a deep depression formed over Ganga coastal West Bengal will move in a west-northwest direction over Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours. Similarly, cyclonic circulation conditions prevail over western Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Haryana. Due to which there is a possibility of rain in many areas of the country.
