The DM of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, is constantly in the news because of his work. This time people are discussing a lot about what he did on the complaint of over rating on sale of liquor. DM himself went on contract to buy liquor. Lined up like customers and then bought a bottle of Mc Dowell. The salesman gave him a bottle of liquor which was Rs 20 more than the printed price. After which DM took strict action.
In fact, there were constant complaints of liquor being sold at inflated rates in Dehradun at night. When DM Savin Bansal got information about this, he himself investigated. That night, he took a private car and went alone to check the places of liquor. Meanwhile, he found the complaints of over-rating at the liquor store to be true. DM took strict action and issued a currency of 50 thousand rupees.
680 for 660 bottles of liquor
Dehradun DM Savin Bansal reached the English liquor shop on Old Mussoorie Road at night. There was a crowd of customers. DM Savin Bansal, wearing a white shirt, joins customers in the queue. He asked the shop salesman for a bottle of Mc Dowell. He gave the bottle to DM and charged Rs 680 of the price, while the MRP printed on the bottle was Rs 660. The salesman took Rs 20 more than the DM.

He also asked the price of many bottles while buying liquor. Its price was also high. Meanwhile later his government convoy arrived. The DM went inside the liquor shop and checked the documents including the stock register. During this period, a challan of Rs 50 thousand was issued to a liquor shop for over rating. Meanwhile, the customers present there complained about giving expensive bottles to the English liquor shops in the city. District Magistrate Savin Bansal has ordered an investigation of all liquor outlets in the district.
