Panchayat Head and Secretary
A unique love story has come to light in Bihar’s Madhepura district where a village head fell in love with a lady secretary. As the love blossomed, so did the conversations and visits between the two. Eventually both of them ran away from the village and got married. The woman is married and a mother of two children. Due to this, when both of them returned after getting married, the people of the village opposed both of them. The villagers reached the women head and secretary with sticks. The police have recorded the statements of both the parties.
According to the information, this entire case is related to Sheikhpura panchayat located in Bihariganj block of Madhepura district of Bihar. The head of the panchayat is Sunita Devi who is married to Sanjay Sah of this village. Secretary of Ward No. 8 is Naveen Kumar who has been working in the panchayat for a long time. A love affair started about 2 years ago between village woman Sunita Devi and secretary Naveen Kumar. Sunita Devi went out of the village several times with Secretary Naveen and came back again. However, this time when the two returned to the village, things were different.
When Sunita and Naveen returned to the village, they both told the villagers that they were married. Sunita also clearly refused to go to her in-laws. After this came to light, there was an uproar in the whole village. The people of the village said that the head of the village has done this act against the society. This is a completely wrong step. Many men and women of the village reached the secretary’s house with sticks in their hands and asked them both to come out. Seeing the anger of the villagers, the police were informed.
Resentment among the villagers
When the police reached the spot, they pacified the angry mob and interrogated the two sides separately. The woman has accused her husband of assaulting her. There were daily fights between the two, due to which she was subjected to a lot of torture in her in-laws. Pradhan Sunita said that now she will stay with Naveen and not go to his house. Sunita’s husband has also made many serious allegations against her.
Instead of working, she was on a video call
Village head Sunita’s husband said that he got married to Sunita 10 years ago. He and Sunita have two sons. The step taken by Sunita by leaving her entire family is wrong. Sunita’s husband also said that he had worked hard to make Sunita a head. The husband denied the allegations of assault and said that she was on video calls with Naveen day and night. Being headstrong, many people came to the house for work but she would not listen to anyone, leading to fights between them.
