In the Baramati battle that caught the attention of not only Maharashtra but the entire country, the elder Pawar i.e. Sharad Pawar won. Whereas Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar lost despite putting in all her efforts. In the battle of prestige, the people of Baramati constituency rejected Ajit Pawar and showed that they stand with Sharad Pawar.
Supriya Sule got 7 lakh 32 thousand 312 votes and Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar got 5 lakh 73 thousand 979 votes, i.e. Supriya Sule defeated Ajit Pawar’s wife by 1 lakh 58 thousand 333 votes. But Ajit Pawar faction’s spokesperson Amol Mitkari has blamed BJP and Shinde faction for the defeat in Baramati. And accused them of defamation.
Interestingly, before the Lok Sabha elections, Shinde faction leader Vijay Shivtare and BJP leader Harshvardhan Patal had adopted a policy of non-cooperation. But later the meetings were successful and both promised to help. But in the actual results, Sunetra Pawar is behind these two leaders in the constituency.
There are a total of 6 assembly constituencies in the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. Supriya Sule got a lead of 47 thousand 381 votes in Ajit Pawar’s own Baramati seat. Priya Sule got a lead from Purandar of Vijay Shivtare, the leader of Shinde faction who joined after the warning, Sule took a lead of 35 thousand 281 votes.
Supriya Sule is also leading from Indapur assembly constituency, where BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil and Ajit Pawar’s party NCP are MLAs. Here Sule got a lead of 25 thousand 951 votes. Congress’s Sangram Thopte is the MLA in Bhor. From here too Supriya Sule got a lead of 43 thousand 805 votes.
In Daund, BJP’s Rahul Kul is the MLA. Here too Supriya Sule got a lead of 26 thousand 337 votes. In Khadakvasla, where Bhimrao Tapkir is the BJP MLA, only Sunetra Pawar got a lead of 20 thousand 746 votes.
Amol Mitkari has blamed the local BJP and Shinde group for the total loss of Rs 1.5 lakh. In the NCP vs NCP battle between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar won.
Sharad Pawar contested 10 seats in the Mahavikas Aghadi and won 8 of them. That is a strike rate of 80%, Ajit Pawar contested 4 seats in the Mahagathbandhan and won the only seat of Raigad. Ajit Dada’s strike rate is only 25%.

- In Vardhyat, Amar Kale of the Pawar group defeated sitting BJP MP Ramdas Tadas
- Dindori Bhaskar Bhagre BJP Union Minister Dr. Bharti defeated Pawar
- In Bhiwandi, Balya Mama Mhatre defeated BJP’s Union Minister Kapil Patil.
That is, Sharad Pawar’s NCP defeated BJP on 6 seats. Which also includes 2 Union Ministers. Therefore, Sharad Pawar told Ajit Pawar that he will know the mentality of the people. Ajit Pawar has accepted defeat and said that he will contest with new preparations.
Although NCP and Mahagathbandhan could not get the expected success in the state, but they have the power to change this picture in future. No failure is final. It is hoped that all the workers will once again dedicate themselves to public service with new enthusiasm without getting tired of failure. All the workers of Mahagathbandhan will start working for the assembly elections to be held in four months.
Even after the split in the NCP, Ajit Pawar fielded his wife against Supriya Sule. Ajit Pawar held about 20 small and big meetings in Baramati. In contrast, Sharad Pawar held only 1 meeting in Baramati and a total of 6 meetings in the Baramati constituency. Ajit Pawar also rebelled against his uncle Sharad Pawar and won the party and symbol. But it is clear from the Lok Sabha results that the public is with Sharad Pawar.
