Central Railway Cancelled Trains: Lifeline will be closed due to three-day block of Morena, know how many trains will be cancelled before leaving home?

Central Railway has announced a 63-hour jumbo block for platform widening and extension work at Thane station and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station. The work of this block will start on Thursday midnight and will end on Sunday 2 June at noon. Due to this long block, the only solution is to avoid traveling on Central Railway on weekends. Because 930 local trains will remain canceled in these three days. 444 suburban areas will be short terminated. So 446 short will originate. Long distance trains including inter city trains from Mumbai like Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Kolhapur have been canceled. Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express will run seven hours late and will leave from Dadar station at 1 am instead of CSMT. Central Railway has appealed to Mumbaikars to travel only when it is very necessary.

A special block of 63 hours for widening platform number 5 and 6 at Thane station and 36 hours for extension of platform number 9 and 10 and non-interlocking work at Mumbai CSMT has been taken from Thursday night. The block will start at midnight on Thursday and end at noon on Sunday, June 2. Platform number 5 and 6 at Thane will be widened and the mega block at Thane will start tonight (Thursday) at 12:30 pm and the mega block at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus will start tomorrow at 12:30 pm. Even before the mega block started, some express trains have started arriving late.

307 Short will start on June 1 (Saturday).
