Brahmos Aerospace will get ex-firefighters reservation, many positions will be reserved.

Brahmos Aerospace has become the first entity to reserve employment for Agniveer under the Agnipath scheme in private companies, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Defense Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs). At least 15% of the technical and general positions at BrahMos Aerospace will be filled by ex-Agnivers. At the same time, 50% of posts in administrative and security roles including outsourced work will be reserved for Agniveer.

BrahMos is encouraging its more than 200 industry partners to reserve 15% of their workforce for Agniveer in roles tailored to the needs of BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd (BAPL). Apart from regular employment in BrahMos, firemen will also be integrated into outsourcing contracts, enabling them to rejoin civilian careers. Industry partners working with BrahMos are being encouraged to provide opportunities to firefighters.

Anil Mishra, Director (Human Resources and Administration), Brahmos, said Agniveer brings valuable skills and a strong sense of duty, which will benefit the company and the broader defense sector. Agneepath Yoga was launched in 2022, under which youths are recruited into the army for a four-year tenure. Along with military training, fire fighters are given technical and special trade training.

BrahMos Aerospace Company

BrahMos Aerospace is a joint venture between India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyenia. The company was established in 1998 and is headquartered in New Delhi. India holds 70 percent stake in the company while Russia holds 30 percent stake.

10 percent posts are reserved for ex-firefighters in BSF, CRPF, CISF and ITBP. At the same time, ex-firefighters have also been given relaxation in physical test and age limit. Apart from this relaxation has also been given in UP PSC recruitment.
