Two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has recalled some bikes from its market. The company has decided to recall all the bikes manufactured between November 2022 and March 2023. This step has been taken after the company found some flaws in the rear or side reflectors during regular testing. Efforts will be made to eliminate this error in a phased manner, starting with South Korea, America and Canada. After this, bikes will be recalled from India, Brazil, Latin America, Europe and UK.
What’s wrong
According to two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield, it has been found that the reflectors in some motorcycles do not meet the required reflective performance standards. Therefore, there is a risk of collision while riding a bike. It has been found that the reflectors are not reflecting the light properly, making it difficult for others to see the bike properly. Since this can invite accidents, these bikes have been recalled in a phased manner to replace the rear and side reflectors. The company has kept the number of recalled bikes secret. But the number is said to be in thousands.
The company will repair the fault free of charge
Regarding the recall, bike maker Royal Enfield has said that this necessary step has been taken to maintain the highest safety standards, although there are no widespread complaints regarding the issue, the reflector will be replaced. This will take only fifteen minutes. Therefore the service team of the company will contact the customers. To fix this problem, the company will replace the reflectors of all the customers’ bikes in the global market free of cost.
