Accused in police custody

A poultry van was robbed on June 4 in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. The criminals escaped with all the chickens kept in the poultry van. Now the police have arrested seven robbers who committed this crime. All are being questioned, a police official said.

All the seven criminals are from Gonda, identified as Bablu Ahmed, Vijendra Tiwari, Rizwan alias Raju, Haider Ali, Mohammad Afsar, Santosh Kumar and Islam Ahmed. A police official said that the arrested criminals were committing robberies in the surrounding areas of Gonda. Many cases have been registered against all these. Two pickups, a Scorpio, a Bolero, a pistol and 02 cartridges have been recovered from the criminals.

The mobile was also taken away

According to a police official, on June 8 Durga Prasad Shukla of Dharauli Pura gave a written application to the cantonment police that before the cantonment on the way to Faizabad, unknown miscreants overtook his pickup in a black Scorpio without number plates. He and the driver were then forced into the Scorpio. The mobile was also taken away. After this, they took possession of the pickup and fled.

The robbers had a chicken party

The criminals told the police that on June 4, they had robbed a pickup full of chickens near the cantonment. Took away the mobile phone of his driver and maid, crushed it and threw the mobile phone into the Saryu river. After this he left the pickup vehicle on the roadside in front of Surya Palace Ayodhya. The criminals said that among the looted hens, they first had a chicken party. After this, the remaining chickens were sold in the market. After selling, whatever money was left was spent on food and drink. Only Rs 40,000 was left, which has been recovered by the police.
