If this happens, you will easily get a plane ticket to go to your city or town. India dreams of becoming a developed nation by 2047. This dream does not seem to be realized without the aviation sector. In view of this, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu stated that their aim is to increase the number of airports in the country to 350 and promote tourism. Speaking at an event organized on the occasion of World Tourism Day at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, he also said that his ministry is working to connect remote areas that are close to unknown destinations.

Naidu is implementing the government’s vision of promoting domestic connectivity and providing better facilities and warm hospitality at airports to welcome foreign tourists. Speaking at the event organized by the Ministry of Tourism, he said that today we have 157 airports, but in the next 20 to 25 years, when we see India really developed in 2047, then we want to increase the number of airports, which is 157 today to 350. .

The Civil Aviation Minister said in his speech that in the year 2014, 4.6 million passengers arrived in India and now that we have increased the number of airports from 74 to 157. Today we see that around 7 million people enter the country. And, of these figures, more than 35 percent come only for vacations and entertainment. He said his ministry now connects many airports that were previously unsafe and close to beautiful scenery.

He praised the Narendra Modi government’s UDAN scheme to bring air travel closer to the common man. The Union Civil Aviation Minister said that we are considering connecting these remote places located near these undiscovered gems by building more airports. He said his ministry is also interested in improving seaplane and helicopter connectivity. The Minister said that air transport is the fundamental link that paves the way for the arrival of foreign tourists to India and we must work in coordination to harness the best tourism potential of the country.
