A shocking case has come to light from Kashmir. Here, a female officer of the Indian Air Force has accused the wing commander of rape. An FIR has been registered in this matter in Budgam of Jammu and Kashmir. Both the officers are posted together in Srinagar. The woman officer has alleged that the wing commander raped her on 31 December 2023. After this he used to torture the woman officer continuously.
The woman officer has made serious allegations against the wing commander in her complaint. The woman told the police that on December 31, 2023, during the New Year party organized in the officers’ mess, the wing commander took her to his room on the pretext of giving gifts and raped her there. In the police FIR, the woman officer said that she has been facing harassment, sexual assault and mental torture at the hands of the wing commander for the past two years.
Rape at a New Year’s party
The woman officer said that during the New Year’s party, the wing commander asked her if she had received a New Year’s gift. When the lady officer said she had not received the gift, the wing commander said the gift was in her room. After this, according to the woman, the wing commander asked her to go to her room. The wing commander’s family was not there when the lady officer went there. When the lady officer asked where her family was, the wing commander said that they had all gone somewhere.
The woman accused the department
The woman officer then alleged that the wing commander raped her. The woman alleged that after the entire incident, the accused acted as if nothing had happened. The woman officer said that she informed her close people about it, after which she dared to file a complaint, the woman said that she also complained internally, after which she was forced to record her statement in front of the wing commander. The woman officer has also made serious allegations against the department like neglecting the case and supporting the accused. Currently, the police is investigating the matter.
